Which is GOD’S first commandment: honor or obedience? (Part 3)

Sher Lock further claims that “For as long as due honor to a mother is not accorded, the church will remain in crisis. Once resolved, the church will be in peace”.

Now what happened to the charges of corruption and cover ups hurled against the Sanggunian? Were they all related to the accusation that Bro. Eduardo is allegedly a disrespectful son to his mother? That a talk with his mother (which they now expanded to include the INC Defenders) would instantly wipe away all those charges and accusations posted in the social media. As if nothing happened and as if no one saw those accusations against the Sanggunian. As if the ugly portrayal of the Sanggunian and the bad image of the Church that they painted against them would be, in a snap, forgotten by nonmembers of Church from all across the globe. What is that? A “neuralizer” from the Men In Black movie—a device that produces “a bright flash which erases the memories of the past hours, days, weeks, months or years, depending on the chosen settings” (Wikipedia).

I know that Rovic “Sher Lock” Canono is a pathological liar but now I know that he is also extra-ordinarily stupid (based on the term used by Antonio Ebangelista in his recent post).

Rovic Canono also said that “this church crisis will soon end with the reconciliatory move of one humble son reaching out to a longing and loving mother.”

Actually, what Rovic Canono was saying is this, “You see the reason we invented lies and hurled non-stop accusations against the Sanggunian is because Bro. Eduardo does not like to talk to his mom? But the moment he takes the initiative to talk to his mom and to the INC defenders, this will crisis be over. Voila! This church is at peace again.” The Church Administration is precise in branding them spiritual terrorists based on these following verses:

“As it is, there’s not much chance of that. You know for yourselves that we’re not much to look at. We’ve been surrounded and battered by troubles, but we’re not demoralized; we’re not sure what to do, but we know that God knows what to do; we’ve been spiritually terrorized, but God hasn’t left our side; we’ve been thrown down, but we haven’t broken” (2 Cor. 4:8-9 MSG).

The insinuation of Rovic Canono is a plain admission that the root of this crisis lies with Mrs. Tenny, on her failure to recognize the authority of his son as the present Executive Minister of the Iglesia Ni Cristo. The crisis stems from her insistence that Bro. Eduardo has to give in to her wishes as she is his mother and the wife of Bro. Erdy, his father. They connived to invent and concoct lies which they could use as a perceived leverage or a bargaining chip against the Executive Minister. They thought such manipulative tactics will work. But they were wrong.

Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo chose the Church over them. He stood his ground in doing what is right and best for the Church even to the point of sacrificing his love for his mother and siblings who were expelled. That is actually the trait of God’s faithful servants like Abraham (who was prepared to sacrifice his own son), Moses (who sacrificed his royal status in Egpyt), Apostle Paul (who sacrifice his social standing and influence) and most of all, our Lord Jesus Christ (who sacrificed His own precious life for the sake of the Church).

Tons of personal attacks and ridicules hurled against the Executive Minister and against the ministers and evangelical workers, who stood by his side to defend him, are nothing compared to the ridicule, mockery, humilation, whips and beatings that Christ endured up to the point of His crucifixion.

This appeal made by Rovic Canono is an open admission of defeat sensing that they are losing followers as the truth behind their rebellion continues to unravel.

I would like to end this series of article bearing the above-mentioned title by asking:

From whom did Rovic Canono get the idea that Bro. Eduardo must honor first his mother before he can expect his mother to follow him; that honoring one’s mother is higher than obedience to the Executive Minister? Was it only a figment of his imagination? Or someone else is behind this? Could it be the expelled ministers or could this directly come from the mother herself, Mrs. Tenny using Rovic “Sher Lock” Canono as a conduit to spread a brand new doctrine which contradicts the teaching taught even by the earlier Executive Ministers of the Iglesia Ni Cristo?

Granting that this is just a pure invention of Rovic Canono, but why did the expelled ministers allow him to post this on his Facebook wall? Sher Lock is their friend, so why not reprimand him? Why is Antonio Ebangelista SILENT AGAIN when a graver form of corruption is involved—as in spiritual corruption through the invention of false beliefs by Rovic Canono? Rovic Canono had not even become a minister of the gospel, then why did Isaias Samson, Jr. and Luisito Cayabyab among others allow him to interpret matters concerning doctrines? Why has their perceived “bravado”quickly vanished when it comes to Sher Lock to the point of allowing him to spread a corrupt doctrine?

Well on that point, your guess is as good as mine. They are not really after the truth. They share the same goal and that is to disrupt the Church and sow divisions within it in exchange for material benefits. They are the real cowards and liars who are bound to be punished in the lake of fire when the day of judgment comes (Rev. 21:8).

If Mrs. Tenny would really like to see the end of this crisis that she and her associates have started, then what is left for her is to return to the Church unconditionally. As she was capable of expressing herself through an audio recording before, she could also use the same media in order to make that appeal to the Executive Minister of the Iglesia Ni Cristo. At the same time, she should also make an appeal to her associates to put an end to their malicious attacks against the Church and the Church Administration. I believe when that happens, a positive chain of events will be in motion.
